Rush Limbaugh Question of the Day

Seriously, Rush said today that he didn't understand why so many Mexican families do not have cable. His theory: secret signal from Mexico. OK, I'm pretty sure he was joking about the last comment, but he really never thought that MAYBE with the rising cost of cable TV that there were a lot of hispanic families that could not afford cable. This is why I listen.

I'm not racist, but i have tons of questions about why Mexican's and Mexican families do things the way they do. Cable isn't one of them.

I guess there is some rumor that the government is going to stop all television broadcasting and force all channels into cable/dish only. At least that is what Rush was talking about. The point was that some feel, correctly in my opinion, that those without cable would be cut off from free news, etc. I guess Rush doesn't want Mexicans to get the news.

I once heard Rush Limbaugh say that Global warming is a myth because last summer was only the 5th hottest in recorded history. His logic was that if Global Warming were real every successive summer would be hotter than the last.

First of all, anyone who chooses to waste their time listening to that Rush dude is an idiot. Second, perhaps Mexicans know something many natives in this country don't know. And that is 95% of what cable has to offer is CRAP. Is everyone ignorant enough to believe anyone who looks like a Mexican is a Mexican? I guess Mexico occupied every Latin American country and people in this country aren't aware? Oh no, that can't be so, we are the smartest humans beings in the universe.
Now go out and buy a good book and excercise that gray matter you all are carrying up there. You'd be surprised what your imagination can do and you don't have to pay the cable companys for it. That is freedom my friends.

#1 Did you read my post? Notice how I was talking about what Rush Limbaugh said? Hence, in refering to his comments the term Mexican was used. I teach at a school where 93% of my students come from Mexico or Central America so don't pull that "whitey don't understand" bullshit on me.

#2 Anybody who won't listen to what their opposition is saying is going into the fight unprepared. Considering your comment, you fall into that category.

#3 Assumptions make an ass out of you and me. You assume I don't read. At what point did I say that? As a college graduate with three degrees and a teaching credential I read plenty thank you. Fact of the matter is that network news carries mostly public interest stories that don't really inform the viewer. Therefore, cable news channels are the best source of in-depth news (despite their bias) for those not reading newspapers.

#4 Use my imagination? Aren't we talking about the news? Should I just imagine what happens?

#5 Anonymous? At least have the guts to leave your fake internet identity. Anybody who posts as anonymous should take their anonymous ass back to their mighty anonymous throne. Any further anonymous posts that want to just start some shit will be deleted.
